Hi, Robert.
I was a bit preoccupied with job and bringing up a young family when the Minisail hit its problems as a class, so I'll let others comment. However, if it was the lack of standardisation per se that was the problem, there'd be no development classes and no development - we'd still be sailing gaff-rigged clinker boats ;-)
Regards, David

Hi my Minisail Monaco as aluminium anodised spars, the boom is also a foot longer than any spec I have seen for any Minisail, the rudder is also different being a lot more substantial and the tilt to lift rudder blade is also different, also the sail is bright yellow, do you think the lack of any set standardisation is what finished manufacture of the minisail, look at the Topper and the Laser, unless you modify them your self the originals are the same as the models produced now

Hi, Kevan.
The best place to ask this question is on the Minisail forum. I've sent you an invitation to join the forum (an invitation isn't necessary, it just gives you a link to follow), but I'll copy your question over to the forum anyway on your behalf. If you sign up for the forum, it will mean you can follow any answers without me having to relay them for you.
Regards, David
